Stunning debut for the first vintage of the “Gòld” selection of Sagrantino DOCG from Còlpetrone
180.000 visitors expected for the seventh annual show: all the Saiagricola estates are present.

At the Lingotto exhibition centre in Turin
from the 23rd to the 27th October the
seventh annual Salone del Gusto show
took place; many producers- both Italian
and foreign- were present at this event
organised by Slow Food. All the
Saiagricola estates were exhibiting: in
Pavillion 3 Cascina Veneria's products
were on show on the “Gusti da Favola”
Stand, principally rice and risotti; while
at the Banca del Vino and the Enoteca
della Regione Umbria, you could taste
the wines of Còlpetrone, Fattoria del
Cerro, La Poderina and Monterufoli.
The first encounter for the visitor with
our wares was
on Friday 24th during the Laboratorio del Gusto “Salt and Salame”: in the company
of Massimo Spigaroli pork butcher from the Antica Corte Pallavicina, 5
examples of Strolghino and 5 other Salami made with different types of salt
were put on taste, the five representing the number of continents, alongside
wines from the Strada del Sagrantino Association including Còlpetrone's
Montefalco Sagrantino DOCG 2005. The most important part of the proceedings
took place in the evening of Saturday 25th with the presentaion of the
Three Glasses Diplomas at the launch of the Italian Wine Guide 2009 from the
Gambero Rosso and Slow Food. All along the ingress ramp once the Lingotto
test track, a tasting of all the wines awarded Three Glasses took place.
Gòld, along with the other winners of the Three Glasses from Umbria, was also
shown off at the Regional Stand on Sunday 26th during a reception organised
by the Strada del Sagrantino Association. Remarkable success of Gambero
Rosso Roadshow of last November in St. Petersburg and Moscow. Thousands
of wine lovers, especially women-sommelier, in the “Europe” (photo), the most
prestigious and historic Hotel of the "Venice of the North", and in the great hall
of Gum Stores in Red Square in Moscow.
Saiagricola and Sassicaia, neighborus at their boots, had long queues of curious
and patient wine tasters during all the event peak flows.
